Today I'm going to tell you what I think about the human brain.
I often see people saying, “Because I'm stupid..." In my opinion, I don't think the human brain's capabilities vary greatly from person to person. Soseki Natsume's brain and Einstein's brain were preserved after their deaths and weighed, and the people found out that their weights were not much different from those of ordinary people. Einstein's brain has been sliced and shared to researchers all over the world, but no discovery has yet been made that it was significantly different from the normal human brain.
There are several reasons why I think each human brain is not very different.
I believe that Einstein and Mozart are the real geniuses in recent centuries. First, let's talk about these two geniuses.
For example, Einstein was only good at physics and mathematics, and failed the entrance exam for The Technical University of Zurich. The principal of the university found out that he was top at math and physics besides he was no good at the other subjects, and he specially allowed Einstein to enter. He had a brain dedicated to math and physics. He also famously had trouble memorizing simple numbers and symbols. It makes me wonder why he, such a genius when it came to math and physics, was so bad at other subjects and so bad at memorizing simple numbers and symbols. I think that there may be a balance between his genius and his disability at the other things.
Einstein seems to have liked Mozart, but Mozart was a gambling maniac who mainly played card games. The relationship between gambling and the high debts left behind after his death is not clear. Various circumstances might be, however, his body was buried in a “communal grave" in the St. Marx Cemetery on the outskirts of Vienna. He had a tragic end. It's true that he was an undeniable genius when it came to music, but at least he didn't have the ability to accumulate wealth steadily. I mean, from these two examples, it seems to me that no one is a genius in all areas. Is it an exaggeration to say, “One who is genious at some subjects is inferior to ordinary people in other subjects"?
The next example might be a bit sudden, but it's about bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is a mental disorder characterized by alternating episodes of depression and mania. Celebrities who are clearly aware of this disease include Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann, Vincent van Gogh, Soseki Natsume, Winston Churchill, Morio Kita, Akiko Itoyama, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Mariah Carey. Although clear evidences have not exist, Mozart, Einstein, and the mathematician Galois might be also pacients suffering from this disease, judging from their daily lives and the ways of their deaths, which did not match their achievements.
A person with bipolar disorder can be very energetic and full-bodied in manic, but lifeless in depression. This is only my opinion that a person's brain is like a rechargeable battery and each of which has about the same capacity. A person with bipolar disorder discharges their energies rapidly abnormally and after that goes into depression. He has no choice but to wait until the next charge. On the other hand, because the brain of people in bipolar disorder discharges rapidly, bipolar disorder can do things that ordinary people cannot do. Ordinary people who do not have bipolar disorder gradually discharge and gradually recharge, so they can live normally in their lives without dropping to depression, right?
From above two examples, I can say that all human brains are like rechargeable batteries with the same capacity, so there is just a matter of at which direction brain should be trained and at which direction the energy should be released, isn’t it? In some cases, one who says, “Because I'm stupid, I am not good at math," on the other hand, might have outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
After all, you should think it is only a matter that you independently decide at which direction you should focus and train your brain. If you can get rid of the negative thoughts about “having a bad brain or a good brain”, you can move forward more positively in your life . I think it's deplorable that there are a lot of girls, especially girls, who think, from the beginning, that they're not good at mathematics and physics because they're “girls”. I want more girls to aim for physics and mathematics. When that happens, I think the future of new mathematics and physics will open up.
"Young girls!, be ambitious!"
What do you think?
This is a movie in which I expressed my pleasure for ”Spring is coming!"
